Les Jardins d’Albertas are classified as historic monuments. They were created in 1740 by the marquis Jean-Baptiste d’Albertas, 1st president at the National Audit Officeof Provence. Terraces, walls, gardens, ponds structure the landscape and make a reference to the traditional “jardin à la française” (Lenôtre, d’Argenville) and to Italians influences so present in Provence.
