The fort lies in the direction of Puyricard, 3 km up north of the city centre. This hill (altitude 370 m) was the capital of the Salian Franks overwhelmed by Sextius in 123 BC. Excavations have brought to light remains of remparts, shops, warehouses and crafts lining rectilinear streets.

Our Ste Victoire mountain has always been a passion for many and merits its own house. 20 minutes away from the town centre along the Cézanne road at the foot of the mountain.
Graphical museum area
A show every 45 minutes about the Ste Victoire and its dinosaurs. A multimedia presentation of Sainte-Victoire's natural history (geology, palaeontology, fauna and flora) and human history (archaeology, Cézanne, etc) through video displays and moving models in a well of pictures. The visit ends with a set of eight display windows. 40 minutes. Groups from 10 people with booking.

A woodland area of some 32 acres and a museum presenting the wonderful Mediterranean forest. The aim is to communicate concepts and knowledge about the environment, to show the value and wealth of the forest, and above all to promote awareness of this woodland heritage, which is as rich as it is vulnerable, among the broadest public possible. In the museum with its 10 rooms, offering 800 sq.m of exhibition space, you will make many discoveries.

The Site-memorial of the Camp of Miles – memory and education, is the only big still intact and open to the public French camp and one of the rare places witnesses(batons) in Europe which tells the tragic history of the internments and the deportations during the Second World War. It wants to be a place of memory but also a living space of education and culture. Spreading inside an impressive built of 15 000 m ² on a space of 7 ha the reserved project includes three sectors dedicated to the knowledge, to the emotion and on thoughts.
